🔢Setup IPv6 Indihome

To add IPv6 to your Indihome subscription

The most important thing when preparing a public server is to make sure the server can be accessed by the public or not. To determine whether the server is accessible by the public or not is by using IP (Internet Protocol). More or less, the IP is used to access the server from another PC out of your home or from your phone but using mobile data instead of WiFi. If the IP can be accessed then its likely a public IP, otherwise its private IP or public IP that owned by the ISP.

The most common IP is IPv4 its something like xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx or 1.1.1.1 as example. On other hand, there is also IPv6 that have pattern like ffff:ffff:ffff:ffff:ffff:ffff:ffff:ffff, just google it if need more explanation. The client can access the server via both IPv4 and IPv6, but for IPv6 there is some limitations that you can search it out there.

Back to the main topic, usually, the regular Indihome subscription will not give us the public IPv4 unless we're subscribing for Gamer packet or something. By default though, the IPv6 is not enabled by the Indihome so we need to do some works to enable it.
